FAQ
FAQ
-
Will my membership be free forever? No - memberships will become paid eventually, but you'll have plenty of notice.
-
This website is kinda lame, the functionality isn't great, and I don't like how it looks.YES, we know this. For now, as a free site, we have limited funds. Once we launch paid memberships, a new website will be launched. Until then, we ask your patience please, but do feel free to reach out with feedback/suggestions.
-
You're missing an event. That's not a question. But if you would like to see a specific event or type of events, please reach out at contact@singaporeisboring.com and we will see what we can do (no promises).
-
Is Singapore boring?No.
-
How do you choose the events you post?Mostly we pick things we or our friends would like, and otherwise wouldn't know about. We try to keep a diverse list, but we do only pick and choose events from the organisers. This list is not necessarily comprehensive. Some general guidelines we use: Include a range of event types and audience types. Exposure to lesser known events, artists, cultures is primary. No worship or overtly religious events. Religious history or culture is fine, so long as it's not appropriation. No events everyone already knows about. You won't see F1 or Taylor Swift on this list. No business related or networking events. Aside from that, we are keen to know what members want to know about. Please give us feedback early and often.
-
Why will you charge a membership fee?Unlike most sites, we do not accept payment to promote events. All events are curated by our team. This allows us to bring you things you won't have heard of, and keep standards high.
-
Can I buy tickets to events here? No, with the exception of Members Only events for the Boring Singapore community. All other events must be ticketed through the event organiser.
